Rich Rendon thinks he was born decades too late.

“I should’ve been around in the ’50s, when hot rodding and cruising were the main things,” Rich says.

I think he was born at just the right time – to help Family Guidance and Outreach Center, an organization that strengthens families in order to prevent child abuse.

It was Rich’s idea to turn the center’s annual fundraiser party into a daylong motorcycle rally and car show. This first year that happened, the Blue Ribbon Rally made $25,000 more than the previous year.

Rich admits his involvement began as a way to impress his girlfriend at the time. Must’ve worked; they’ve been married four years. Why he continues: “To help kids. Help kids live. Help families understand what they’re supposed to be doing and not supposed to be doing.”

And this hard-working, fun-loving salesman will do just about anything for the cause, including put on a skirt to ride his 2007 Harley-Davidson Softail Springer.

He says the best part of wearing a skirt is that he has aligned himself with some of the greats: Jesus, the Romans and William Wallace all wore some type of skirt or dress. Now, so has Rich Rendon!

Some of the Greats?

Charles Savoie---My choice of ancient Skirt.Com names includes Gaius Verus Julius Maximinus Thrax, Emperor of Rome (238 to 235 AD) who wore his wife's bracelet as a ring---outran a racehorse---overcame the pull of a chariot team---pulled a wagon loaded with stones so heavy a 4,000 pound team of ox could not budge it---drank 60 pints of wine a day---ate 40 pounds of meat a day---and conquered Mesopotamia.  Maximinus---not to be confused with the far punier Maximus---stood 8 feet six inches and was "extraordinarily brave and physically overwhelming,  the ideal soldier."  Tallest, largest and strongest man to ever be a head of state.  The stories of his physical feats were astounding, according to the Historia Augusta.  See his statue in the Vatican Museum in Rome.  BEWARE the stern countenance of The GIANT.  Most formidable man to wear a skirt (kilt) in modern times might be Bill Kazmaier (Polish) who overturned a full size automobile (engine and transmission not removed) on a level surface by himself.  Still, a mere cream puff beside that Thracian nightmare.

What an adorable motorcycle!

What an adorable motorcycle! I'm really speechless. I have the same passion as he does since I was young. My brother used to drive such motorcycles all the time. The one in the picture must have motorcycle saddlebags for sure. If not, he better buy one because they are extremely useful and easy to carry. It helps the driver a lot, especially that they have a lot of space in it and it can carry a lot of tools.
